Brie Larson was in '13 Going On 30' and you probably didn't even notice

Who knew?

You remember 13 Going On 30. The iconic movie about a teenage girl who makes a wish on her birthday and wakes up as a 30-year-old woman living in a lush apartment, dating a hot guy and killing at her dream job in magazines. Jennifer Garner stars opposite Mark Ruffalo and they're both completely adorable.

Just as this legendary film celebrates its 15th anniversary, we discover something a little bit mind-blowing: Hollywood actress Brie Larson had a small role. Don't worry if you didn't spot her during your last rewatch. Not even Mark Ruffalo, who stars alongside Brie in the Avengers: Endgame movie, noticed. Apparently he was as shocked as anyone to find out that she appeared as one of "the six chicks", the popular clique of girls who exclude Jennifer Garner's character as a kid.

People on Twitter are loving this revelation.

Entertainment publicist AJ Feuerman tweeted a still from the movie, showing Larson in full '80s costume. "Mind blown", she wrote.

Mind blown when I just learned was in β€˜13 Going on 30.’

A Marvel fan tweeted that she was "today years old" when she found out that Brie played one of the teenage bullies.

I WAS TODAY YEARS OLD WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT WAS ONE OF THE SIX CHICKS FROM 13 GOING ON 30

Someone else who'd just sat down to rewatch 13 Going On 30 posted a screenshot of the closing credits with Brie's name appearing in pink writing.

yo i've just rewatched 13 going on 30 and i still can't believe that brie larson was one of the six chicks

"yo i've just rewatched 13 going on 30 and i still can't believe that brie larson was one of the six chicks," they said.

Apparently it was during filming for this iconic film that Brie first decided she wanted to get into directing.

Did you know that her role in ’13 Going on 30’ was the moment knew she wanted to direct?! 😱πŸŽ₯

— Entertainment Tonight (@etnow)

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: "What do I remember [about that movie]? I remember it was the moment I knew I really wanted to direct. I remember paying a lot of attention to where the camera was, and the camera moves, thinking about how I would have cut it together. And seeing the movie and seeing how it differed to what I thought."

We can only hope Brie Larson goes on to direct something as epic as Avengers or as timelessly great as 13 Going On 30.
