You really *can* restore your wellness on the party island of Ibiza, here's how...

Most people (myself included) associate the Balearic Island of Ibiza with endless boozing, all day beach raving and 24-hour club nights filled with ecstatic millennials listening to their favourite DJs. So when I was invited to the brand new luxury 7Pines Resort for the ultimate relaxation experience, I was intrigued and jumped at the chance to restore my inner zen.

After a fleeting flight from London, we were whisked off to the glamorous Resort, which is situated a 25-minute drive from the airport on the west coast of the Island in an exclusive, secluded location high on the cliffs which made for breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Greeted with a glass of champagne, I mesmerised over the place I would call home for the next few days, where the suites were whitewashed Ibizenco-style homes and reminiscent of the old town's authentic, quaint architecture.

The stunning resort is surrounded by pine-filled countryside and within walking distance of the spectacular Cala Conta and secluded Cala Codolar beaches. I recommend taking the time to stroll down to the latter one afternoon before sunset.

After a lovely lunch at the resorts laid-back Cone Club restaurant where we shared mouthwateringly delicious Mediterranean plates with Arabic and Asian influences, it was time for my massage at their Pure7 Spa, which I would soon find out was 1,500sqm of pure bliss.

Pure7 spa was created as a haven of wellbeing that is inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle and energy of Ibiza with a mission to reconnect individuals to themselves in mind and body. Before entering the treatment room, I was asked to choose from six options of music, as music is said to be beneficial for overall mental health. The romantic in me chose the ‘Belle Epoque’ option, a selection of soothing love songs to dream and drift away to.

Once I entered the treatment room, immediately I felt relaxed, my fast-paced desk job felt a million miles away, and life slowed down. I chose a firm pressure massage to will away the aches and pains of my 9-5, and drifted into a state of euphoria.

The spa also offers meditation, breath-work and yoga practices, and in an attempt to up my yogi game, I opted to attend a Hatha Yoga Flow. The studio was light, bright and airy, with clear views of the infinity pool and sea. As we stretched through various postures to lengthen and soothe the body with the sound of the sea and birds in the background, with every updog I was hit with the beautiful views once more, and came out feeling like a new (bendier) woman.

I chose to end my spa experience with a White Sky Tea on one of the water beds (I now need one of these in my house please) before heading to the pool for some down time where I watched boyfriends of Instagram snap their glamorous influencer girlfriends in the infinity pool setting.

We topped off the day with sun-downers at the Cone Club’s cushioned cabanas, which were perfectly positioned for views of the stunning sunset. I watched in awe as the sky filled with fuscia pinks and fiery orange colours; the light clifftop breeze helped me keep my cool. There is a laidback luxury feel that oozes the 7Pines resort, and I certainly felt it in this moment.

7Pines is a year-round resort. Rates vary within season and occupancy. Guests are able to experience the resort starting from around 590 Euros per night.
