Everyone's favourite 90s scrunchie just got a chic AF makeover

Did you know you needed such an extra hair tie in your life?

12 Jan 2018

Have you ever been tying your hair up with a basic hair tie, or even an invisibobble, and found yourself wondering WHY its not fluffier/fuzzier/silkier? All the time, are we right?

Enter: the extra scrunchie.

Unlike its 90s counterpart, this year's coolest hair tie is no cotton affair.

Leading the charge for this fresh new take is celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin, who has teamed up with Chloe + Isabel to create a bespoke line of accessories.

Among our favourites are the Velvet Bow hair ties and the Velvet + Pearl Hair Tie Trio, but the real stand out piece is their Fuzzy Scrunchie.

Another of the hottest new takes on the 90s staple comes via Danish designer Line Sander Johansen's label Comfort Objects.

Not only has she renamed the ties "hair clouds" (for real), they are also made from recycled Hermès scarves.

Now there's nothing 90s grunge about that.
