As Fleabag ends and we spend our days wondering "what the hell are we supposed to watch now?", BBC One have taken our feelings on board and graced us with yet another comedy-drama in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's place that we're all about to totally fall in love with.
Back To Life aired in Fleabag's previous weekly slot at 10:35pm on BBC One from Monday 15th April, and the storyline follows Miri Matteson, who has just been released from jail for a crime we're not yet aware of.
Making an unwelcome return to the small town she grew up in, the series focuses around Miri trying to rebuild old relationships, make new ones, finding a career despite her last job being at Fat Face in the year 2000 and trying to lead a normal life, despite the whole town refusing to talk about what happened on that fateful night.
While, similarly to Fleabag's mysterious fourth wall, we don't know what crime Miri committed all of those years ago, we can take a pretty good guess at it being serious, with the words "psycho b*tch" spray-painted across her parents' garden wall, and her mum's desperate attempts to keep her away from kitchen knives.
Writer and star of the show, Daisy Haggard, told RadioTimes.com: "The idea came from a fascination with how hard we are on a woman who’s done a bad thing in comparison to how we treat men, and an imagining of what leaving prison would be like, and how hard it would be to rebuild your life in your late thirties in a small town where you’ve done this thing.
These are the TV shows everyone needs to watch this year - including Netflix's new teen drama
“I know it doesn’t sound like a comedy, but I was thinking about the adult beginner aspect of that and all the things you hadn’t done and how hard it would be to start again.”
And there's sure to be laughs a-plenty, with award-winning Geraldine James playing Miri's sexually-frustrated mother, Caroline, while Richard Durden stars as her recycling-obsessed father Oscar, who's almost guaranteed to become one of our favourite on-screen Dads this year.
While Fleabag is going to be some major shoes to fill, we've got a good feeling about this one...
Back To Life is on BBC One for six consecutive weeks at 10:35pm from Monday 15th April.
