You can always rely on the good people of Reddit for solid relationship advice. Whether it's tips on getting your girlfriend to stop to in-depth questions about your sex life, the "front page of the internet" never holds back.
So when one Reddit user asked the community to help them make a great first impression with their Bumble bio, we knew we were in for a treat.
"I'm having trouble writing a witty bio," forum user, myth2711, confessed to the community. "Was hoping people could share some clever/funny bios they've come across lately that actually made you react".
One user, jakkaroo, came straight through with the sage advice, revealing that his honesty-only policy had seen his success rate fly.
"I seem to have struck a chord with stating that I love waking up early, and have learned that girls value sleep above all else in this world, so most girls open with something about that and whether or not it's a problem that they like to sleep late". Jakkaroo, we feel obliged to tell you that most of us snooze until 11am on a Saturday.
For those who rely on cliché descriptions (we're talking 'loyal','funny' and that old culprit, 'adventurous'), Jakkaroo also came through with a tried-and-tested technique: "it's not that hard folks, use a thesaurus".
Some of the advice was straight down the teacher-student route, like that of user temporarycreature, who had adopted a 'learn from the best' approach to dating. "Use Bumble's BFF feature to scope guys/gals profiles since they're the same for now," he advised. "Use them for inspiration, copy them, whatever, plug your info in, make it yours".

Meanwhile another user, omashupicchu, suggested finding things in common. "Maybe just add one thing that you're looking for in a partner. "If you like watching horrible movies just to make fun of them, we'll get along great!"
Not all users were as optimistic, though. One man, pjockey, had a hometruth of his own to share. "I'm realizing Bumble is pretty much the worst app of all of them for a mediocre (or quite possibly worse) looking guy".

The prize for possibly the least-sound advice has to go to AttackOfTheThumbs, who commented, "so my bio says nothing, but makes girls chuckle. That's enough for pretty much all of them". We don't know about you, but "just banter until we meet up" rings a little too Inbetweeners for our liking.
