“I always wanted straight hair and a thigh gap and now I don’t want either!” Ella Eyre's hilarious beauty memo

You may already know that Ella Eyre knows her way around a cracking tune. After all, Came Here for Love, Answerphone and her most recent tune, Just Got Paid, have been littering our playlists. But did you know she is an expert at putting the glow into glowing skin?

In the first video in our new celebrity interview franchise, Ready Steady Beauty - where celebrities give our Joshington Hosts a makeover using limited product - Ella gets her best beautician game on and serves up a glowing, dewy look with a somewhat questionable bold lip. At least it was in time for Halloween.

Watch the full hilarious AND practical video above and here is what the singer divulged about her beauty routine…

I spent my childhood wishing I had straight hair…

There were no celebrities with curly hair when I was growing up. Obviously, everyone wanted to be like Beyoncé and we all know Beyoncé has lots of hair stylists. I always wanted straight hair and a thigh gap and now I don’t want either. Little did I know I was on trend from the day I was born!

My go-to beauty product for hungover skin is…

oil is one of my favourite things to use. It can make your skin too oily if you wear it every day but it’s really good when I’m hungover and dehydrated. It’s just one of those things that you deal with when you’re 20-something! is really good when you’ve got bags, you’re feeling a bit rubbish and a bit tired. It wakes me up.

I am so proud to support MTV Staying Alive…

My limited-edition design for is Pride-inspired. I played Brighton Pride with Britney Spears earlier this year - it was sick. MTV Staying Alive is in support of HIV and making sure that communities can spread the word about HIV and the prevention of it. So that’s exactly why its Pride-inspired because that’s the community that has a lot of focus on that.

I hate it when people ask to touch my hair…

The worst interview questions are always all about my hair, which is actually a really easy thing to answer because it’s stuck to my head! The one thing I really hate is when people ask if they can touch it. I can be a piece of art if you like but when you go to a museum, you don’t touch the art (points to hair). This is art.
