She's wanted, she's hot, she's everything we're not - she's Kirsten Dunst and she's FINALLY back with another major starring role for us to swoon over for the next ten years.

The show in question? On Becoming A God In Central Florida.

The 90s dark comedy is all about kickass female empowerment, set in a small Orlando town, with main character Krystal (Dunst), a minimum wage waterpark employee lying and scheming her way up the ranks at the Founders American Merchandise (FAM), AKA the multibillion-dollar pyramid scheme that is the reason her life's in tatters.

By becoming the *ultimate* scammer, Krystal develops relationships with fanatic followers within the organisation, until it all comes crashing down (again) when her plans get caught up with the big bosses.

The nine-episode series will premiere on 25 August on Showtime at 10pm, and has been co-produced by *the* George Clooney along with Grant Heslov.

“She’s [a badass], but she becomes that,” the actress told EW in 2017. “It’s going to be one of the most fun roles I’ve ever played…. It’s a great pilot!”

Alongside Dunst, the cast also features a real mix of faces, including Ted Levine, Alexander Skarsgård and rock band Gossip front woman, Beth Ditto.

“We were immediately drawn to this stylish and subversive female empowerment story starring Kirsten Dunst as you’ve never seen her before,” said Gary Levine, co-president of entertainment for Showtime.

“Throw in clever writing, inventive filmmaking, a strong, diverse ensemble and some alligators, and we’re confident Showtime audiences will find On Becoming a God irresistible!”

The show premieres at 10pm on 25 August on Showtime.
