The cult workout class that literally every A-lister swears by for staying in shape is *finally* coming to the UK

On your bike.

From relaxing yoga sessions to high-intensity boxing classes, there's a plethora of fitness classes on offer in the UK right now.

Then came an exercise class that allowed us to sit down, and everyone was interested. That’s right, we’re talking about spinning. Quickly and brutally we discovered that you can’t actually sit down - not for more than 3 seconds anyway, unless you fancy being shouted at by an overenthusiastic instructor with neon wristbands and a wild look in his eye. Lights are dimmed, music is turned up, and for the next 45-60 minutes, you're treated to the best damn workout of your life. It's little surprise, then, that celebrities are addicted to spinning classes - and one such class in particular.

Over in the US, SoulCycle is without a doubt the most popular way of keeping fit. Pop down to your local LA studio and you'll likely see more A-listers than a night on the Oscars red carpet. From the Beckhams to Michelle Obama, SoulCycle is the class the stars turn to time and time again for an endorphin boost. And guess what? It's *finally* coming to the UK.

The US’ favourite indoor cycling brand will arrive with its first international studio, in London, this June - and we're preparing for a stampede.

So what's all the fuss about?

SoulCycle is a 45-minute indoor cycling class that features high-intensity cardio, muscle-sculpting strength training, and rhythm-based choreography to some banging beats.

But as anyone who has experienced a session knows, it’s so much more than just a workout — it’s a powerful mind-body experience and you'll leave feeling like you can take on the world.

“We’re incredibly excited to open our first SoulCycle studio in the UK,” said Melanie Whelan, CEO of SoulCycle. “SoulCycle is social and joyful - and gives people a way to connect. Our classes are high energy and results oriented. We’re a community and a space where you can come as you are and celebrate who you are, to work through whatever you’re facing that day and emerge feeling stronger and inspired. Above all, SoulCycle is fun!”

"The launch of our studio in the heart of Soho is just the beginning," Whelan said. "We'll be announcing additional locations and experiences in London very soon."

The new space will open mid-June in Soho at 3-4 Great Marlborough Street. We might join the queue right now.
