They don't call 'the eyebrow king' for nothing. The and social media sensation is a pro when it comes to brow shaping, styling and trends, so GLAMOUR UK are delighted to reveal him as our resident brow columnist. Each month, Sal will be sharing his insider tips, tricks and trends with our readers. In his first instalment, Sal fills us in on the hottest trend taking over the brow business: Browtox.
Eyebrows are serious business. We’ve all seen the change over the past decade from the super thin (literally plucked to death) brow to the big and bushy. But it’s not just the size of your brow that has got everyone obsessing, it’s also all about the shape. Trust me when I say, having perfectly groomed and shaped brows can do wonders for anti-aging and can completely change your face. So it’s no surprise that more and more people are using Browtox to achieve the perfect brow.
RIP, Insta-brow. The 'Audrey brow' is the new eyebrow shape you need to know about...
What is Browtox?
We have all heard about the benefits (and occasionally, the misfortunes) of Botox. Many people opt for Botox treatments to help correct small areas of tissue to give a more youthful look - and now the treatment is helping people boost their brows.
Browtox (or Brow Botox) is a procedure in which Botox is injected into the area around the brows to help lift and smooth the surrounding skin. A Browtox treatment can help correct uneven or ‘droopy’ brows and give the illusion of a more youthful look by slightly opening up the area around the brows.[ id="BmyvE0phOWR"]
Browtox procedures have become more popular over the past few years and many have turned to the procedure as an alternative to other filler type treatments for the eye area due to how effective it is at transforming the appearance of eye area concerns. I’ve seen many transformations and how it has helped individuals not just aesthetically, but also with giving them a confidence boost. Many have told me that Browtox has helped their brows look more symmetrical and also helps their foundation apply more evenly to their eye and brow area, creating a smooth canvas.
With Botox around the brow area, the lifting effect can also change the way the brow sits. If your brows are uneven or droopy and they cannot be made even by shaping alone, Browtox can help them sit symmetrically along the brow bone. For all of you that love a good brow arch, a small amount of Botox above the arch can give it a lift and really define the shape of your brows.

Browtox: The review
Like many, I had uneven brows. No matter how often I had my brows shaped, I always had one that sat perfectly and one had a slight roundness to it that couldn’t be corrected by waxing or threading. For me, the roundness was so pronounced, the brow would rise every time I spoke, giving me a slightly confused expression I couldn’t control. After hearing about Browox, I hunted down a clinic that specialised in Botox and the practitioner gave me a consultation and administered a small amount of Botox to correct the muscle around the Brow. The procedure was quick and straightforward and created the brow symmetry I had wanted for years.
They say that the eyes are the window to your soul. For me, the brows are like the gatekeepers and subtle changes can completely change your look. From my experience, I would recommend having Browtox done as it is a simple procedure that can make a huge difference. Like anything, all good things should be done in moderation as over doing it could lead to the possibility of the brows drooping, so it is best to speak to a licensed aesthetics’ practitioner about the procedure to see if it is right for you.
If you’re considering getting any form of cosmetic treatments, always make sure you do your research. It’s really important to make sure the person carrying out the procedure is qualified and experienced.
