Cara Delevingne first hit the fashion circuit when she was just 17 and her tomboy style became a look we wanted to emulate immediately.
But in her most recent move, Cara attended the royal wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank wearing a top hat and tails. The style move broke the rules for the wedding guest fashion, which stipulated women should wear "a day dress and hat." Navigating the windy conditions by entering the ceremony holding her top hat down, Cara certainly made an entrance.
And we've just found out that Cara actually sought Princess Eugenie's permission before donning the ensemble. Speaking to , Cara said: "Eugenie has been a friend of mine since I was a kid and I've always wanted to wear tails. I texted her, as I wasn't sure about it and she was like 'of course, I expected nothing else from you!'"
We love that Eugenie supported Cara in her sartorial statement.
Since she first smashed onto the style scene, Cara has always stayed true to her roots (biker boots, skinny jeans and beanies are her staples), but she's also proved that she's just as adept as doing glam as she is relaxed daywear.
Be inspired by Cara's enduring and ever-changing style here...
