As much as we'd all love our makeup to prove its 24-hour lasting power like it says on the packaging, most of us are in need of an afternoon pick-up when 5.30pm calls.
Time to say goodbye to oily T-zones and melting foundation, as the makeup artist behind both Kate Middleton and Princess Eugenie's bridal beauty has revealed the makeup hacks to refresh your look when you're on the go.
Speaking to , Hannah Martin, a senior pro makeup artist at Bobbi Brown, shared a few quick and easy tips to revive your makeup when you're pressed for time.
If you're heading out for drinks, there's no need to start from scratch in the fluorescent lighting of the loos. A couple of touch-ups are the way forward; Martin recommends a light dusting of powder to reset your base and a slick of red lippy for a bold accent.
If you suffer from panda eyes after staring at your computer screen, Martin suggests blending a dark-coloured eyeshadow in the crease of your eye and along your lower lash for a sophisticated smokey eye look.
"I love a simple long-wear cream shadow for the day like Trish McEvoy 24hr Eyeshadow and Liner in Smokey Quartz, £24, with a little liner that I know I can add to easily later on," she explained.
And when it comes to beating the dreaded end-of-day forehead shine, Martin recommends investing in NYX Blotting Papers to absorb excess oil and leave the skin looking picture perfect.
After you've blotted your way to a fresh face, the makeup guru suggests rehydrating with a setting spray to prevent cakiness, then softly blending concealer under your eyes, around your nose and cheeks for a flawless finish.
As for a little festive shimmer? "Something like Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette, £39, will layer perfectly on top and take your simple greyish plum eye to a fabulous rusty sparkle really easily - simply brush the powder shadow on top and press the sparkle into your lid with your ring finger."
You'll never face another makeup meltdown again.

James Pryce was behind Kate’s stunning wedding hair look and surprised us all when he revealed that getting the look at home requires following just two simple steps.
To style her locks, James told Cosmo that he used Redken’s Curvaceous Full Swirl Cream Serum, which will only set you back £11.
