Either we've been spending too much time on Instagram (likely) or there has been some serious marketing genius going on because for months we've been seeing the same metallic pink face drops popping up in our feeds.
Usually appearing as part of a mini-makeup tutorial, the drops are dripped and slathered all over bloggers faces before (or at the same time as) their foundation, and then blended seamlessly for some super-glowy skin.
The latter isn't far off, and we finally managed to catch a glimpse of the packaging, which revealed the product to be: from New Artist Cosmetics.
And oh boy, were we excited when we discovered it didn't just come in pink, but varying shades of bronze, gold, green and lilac too! We believe the bright, shiny pink shade we were constantly spotting is named 'Unknown' – and oh, the irony was not lost.
According to the brand's Instagram page, the drops are extremely versatile. They can be used as a primer, an eyeshadow base and body glow.
But it doesn't stop there, oh no. You can also mix it with matte foundation for a healthy glowy finish, turn moisturiser into BB cream (huh?!) and apply it over your lip colour for a chrome finish. Not bad for just £15.
So the next time you spot a colourful tin man face you feed, think of us and a mystery well-solved.
