Anyone else feeling fidgety as the new season rolls in? There's no such thing as a spring clean in autumn, but with everyone going back to work, it feels like prime time for a fresh start – a wardrobe clear out, makeup switch-up and perhaps, a brand new hair shade to see you through the season.
While chestnuts and dark chocolatey brunettes always gain popularity when heading towards winter, if you don't fancy going quite so dark, top celebrity colourist, Josh Wood, is a firm fan of copper-blonde (a more autumnal and titian take on strawberry blonde), which he used on models' hair backstage at the Marc Jacobs runway show in New York recently. Failing that, why not try warm amber? A toasted pecan shade that sits somewhere in between blonde and brunette.
As for this year's top-trending shades, according to Pinterest, mushroom blonde is in, thanks to a 308% surge in users searching for the ashy grey-toned blonde. Fire is heating up with 90% of users scrolling through the vibrant red shade that's blazing a trail this season and lilac has also seen a surge.
