The sun has *finally* arrived so it's high time to amp up your SPF routine. One great way to ensure you're protected is to opt for a moisturiser with built-in UV filters so you'll not only enjoy hydrated, luminous skin but also shield yourself from damage and premature ageing.
That said, not all SPF moisturisers are made equal. There's been an ongoing battle between dermatologists who argue that SPF in our moisturiser may not be enough to protect us, and may give a false sense of security. The reason for this is that, firstly, the amount of SPF contained in your moisturiser may be very small which means it may not offer enough protection unless it's layered on thickly and reapplied throughout the day and secondly, we're now more aware of the damage both UVA and UVB can do to our skin. SPF only protects against UVB, so to ensure you're fully protected, you'll need to look out for the universal UVA symbol, too (which is UVA written in a circle).
We've done the groundwork for you and rounded-up the moisturisers that offer broad spectrum protection.
