Natalia Vodianova is a Russian-born, UK-based supermodel. As a child, she used to sell fruit on the streets of her hometown with her mother and two half-sisters to make ends meet, her father having left the family when she was a toddler. At 15, she enrolled with a modelling academy, learned English and, aged 17, moved to Paris - the rest, as they say, is history. Natalia has walked in catwalk shows for every major designer and also had huge success as an editorial and advertising campaign model (she enjoys a special relationship with Vogue). She has three children with British property heir Justin Portman, whom she married in 2001. The couple officially announced their separation in June 2011. As well as her modelling career, Natalia has played various film roles and dedicates much of her time to charity work - in particular, for The Naked Heart Foundation, the philanthropic organisation that she founded to help provide a safe environment in which to play for children living in urban Russia.
