Welcome to the first of many in the Friday Face off series, where members of the GLAMOUR team face off against each other and special guest’s to recreate some of the most iconic makeup looks we’ve seen to date.
First up, who could forget the first of three, yes three, moments on the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala from Lady Gaga. The theme, Camp: Notes on Fashion was taken quite literally with Gaga’s first makeup look. There was a lot of gold, a lot of silver and a whole lot of lash.
This week our lovely Beauty Editor, Lottie Winter went up against the head of MUA at Benefit Cosmetics, Lisa Potter-Dixon.
It’s safe to say the approaches were very different, but the end results weren’t too dissimilar.
Lottie started off with the white and black eyeliner, while Lisa opted to tackle the false eyelash situation.
Lisa sped ahead, but made a tactical change from Fenty Beauty’s liquid white eyeliner to MAC eyeliner for consistency’s sake and then brushed on a bit of glitter eyeshadow. Lottie applied the gems to one eye, the black and gold lashes.
The last few seconds saw the application of gold lashes from Lisa, and finally a swipe of pink lipstick to round it off.
Take a look at the and have your say on who's recreation you preferred, or better yet, share with your recreations of Gaga’s MET Gala look.
